iPhone SE Corroded Battery Replacement

For this repair I was tasked with replacing the battery for an Apple iPhone SE. The phone itself hadn’t been used for around 18 months, and in that time the battery had become so corroded it was stuck in the phone.

To complicate things I also broke the adhesive to help try and remove the battery. I have cut out the film where I was gently prying the battery out, as it was 45 minutes of the most tedious, gentle work in the world. Finally I got it out and was able to fit the new battery.

After 18 months the iPhone has sprung back to life!
